Matt and Pete have an inspirational story to tell.

They’ve packed in a lot in their short lives and have a wealth of experiences to draw from. Between them they’ve climbed, trekked and traveled all over the world, seen operational service in Afghanistan and spent time working in the Aerospace engineering industry. Together they’ve experienced the lowest of lows in losing their dear friend John, to the highest of high’s - standing on top of Mount Everest.

Their on-stage delivery mirrors the teamwork, passion and professionalism they had to show on the mountain in order to achieve their dream, but more than that they speak with a humility and honesty which really engages their listeners and encourages them to take the next step to fulfilling their own dream.

Comfortable speaking to any age group of any size, Matt and Pete have captivated audiences from schools and businesses alike.  As well as telling their story, much of their talks revolve around the critical importance of the following key qualities, qualities that have fueled their success, but more importantly kept them alive...

    Teamwork

    Leadership

    Communication

    Inspiration and Motivation

Courage, Commitment and belief in a Core-Purpose

    Planning, Preparation and Adaptability

    An utter Determination to Succeed

Testimonials

“Matt and Pete are two remarkable young men who have achieved an amazing goal in climbing Mount Everest…… what is most interesting about their story is that they

did not do this for their own glory and two more humble and nice guys you could not hope to meet.  They did however; undertake their journey to raise money for

Help for Heroes and the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation in memory of their fallen friend and colleague John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan

in 2008 and the many wounded service men and women who have been injured in the theatres of war.

They captivated the entire audience of healthcare professionals with their deeply moving story when they presented at our Gala Dinner held at Fawsley Hall in

Northamptonshire.  An inspirational story of courage, leadership and friendship and I remain in awe of their bravery in overcoming the many difficulties that they

experienced in order to achieve their goal.  They dared to dream……..

I would definitely recommend these two young men as speakers if you are seeking someone to convey to your audience that no obstacle is too big to be overcome

if you have vision and determination to make that vision a reality!”

Cheryl Northrop, Secretary to Pete Shergill, Director of Healthcare Services, Lloyds Pharmacy

“Matt was quite inspirational today as he came back to his old school to talk to the 7-13 year old children about his Royal Marine tour to Afghanistan, leading on to his

remarkable achievement in climbing Everest against all the medical odds, in memory of his fallen friend. "One of my best days at school" said one 10 year old.

"Awesome!" A combination of quietly but confidently spoken narrative and vivid, moving video held the children for 30 minutes as we were led up to the summit and

back - followed by an unstoppable flow of questions for Matt to answer. I can recommend this talk to any school audience!”

Richard Nicholl, Headmaster, Castle Court School, Corfe Mullen.

“Hearing Matt and Peter speak is truly inspirational. They are both living proof of the old adage "there's no such word as can't". I have every possible respect for their

talents as speakers, delivering a truly amazing insight into their adventures, as well as their incredible personal courage…fantastic.”
